Washington Paraoptometric Section

Membership

Membership in the Washington Paraoptometric Section (WPS) is open to all Paraoptometric personal who are sponsored by member doctors of the Optometric Physician of Washington (OPW).

Being a member of organized paraoptometry has many benefits. Excellent education programs, the opportunity to network with other Paraoptometric's, and career advancements are a few examples. We also provide a referral source for information on careers and a job placement service for both Paraoptometric's seeking a new position and doctors looking for new personal. The WPS provided education which allows Paraoptometric's to remain current in their job duties, learn new techniques and instrumentation, and increasing overall technical and management proficiency.

What is a Paraoptometric?

Anyone working for a optometrist, by definition, is a Paraoptometric. A technician, assistant, contact lens aide, vision therapist, optician, patient coordinator, office manager, dispenser, financial advisor or a secretary are some examples of a Paraoptometric.
